<image:title>LEAN - Lean</image:title>
<image:caption>LA’s iconic indie duo, Lean, is back with a brand new single after a two year hiatus. With Lean’s polished and serene melodies and cool yet modest layers, this track is sure to be a home run you won’t want to miss so keep your eyes peeled. What METAL had to say about the duo's return is that 'what is clear is that they are back with an unstoppable force and clear ideas.' Earmilk described them best by saying “sonically, LEAN's clean textures, smooth and dreamy melodies wrap you up tightly and what a blissful feeling it is. With artists these days laboriously trying to stitch together a cornucopia of sounds together and be called "genre-blending," LEAN takes the refreshing approach of keeping things cool and unassuming.” McCammon and Johnson met in late 2016 and formed LEAN shortly afterward. The two bonded over their shared love of 90s hip hop and indie rock and quickly found a formula that combined these influences. "With Stephen’s ear for hooks it came together effortlessly” McCammon said of the band's conception. After a stretch of singles, they made their debut with Years in the spring of 2018. Of which the 405 said, “as you trek down this near pitch-perfect alt-pop endeavor, you’ll hear a renewed sound that’s emerged inside this congested genre”. In its first year as a band, Lean garnered the praise of NYLON, Indie Shuffle, IMPOSE, Buzz Bands LA: putting them on the radar of Kitsuné, and high-profile Spotify and Apple Music playlists. What the press has been saying about Lean: "The perfect make-out song" - NYLON "Just good ol' fashioned, high quality indie pop." - Indie Shuffle "Their single “Come Back” belies its facade of indie-pop insouciance; it’s a dart aimed at a poison person." -Buzz Bands LA</image:caption>

<image:title>HIGH WAISTED - High Waisted</image:title>
<image:caption>Quirky 60's garage rock is reimagined from the nose of a surfboard, making High Waisted feel like a psychedelic lullaby. High Wasted is NYC-based surf rock, with notable pop sensibility, feminist ideals and an affliction for rock and roll. They’ve been called NME's “Buzz Band to Watch,” and have been declared “The Ultimate Party Band” by GQ. The band has received praise from the likes of Consequence of Sound, Noisey and Paste. High Waisted released an interactive 360 degree music video for their track "Hey Hey" in collaboration with Refinery29, performed a live sessions at Nylon and Paste. The group spent most of 2016 and 2017 touring the country, playing both Riot Fest in Chicago and Denver as well as supporting acts like Brazilian Girls, Shannon and the Clams, Kitten, Titus Andronicus, The Donkeys, Har Mar Superstar, The Coathangers, Jessica Hernandez, La Sera, Diarrhea Planet and La Luz. High Waisted were declared one of the buzziest bands at SXSW 2018 and 2019. They did extensive touring to support a split 7” (Little Dickman Records) which debuted on Billboard, followed by a music video premiere on UPROXX. Jessica Louise Dye’s powerful voice meshes with her eclectic mix of infectious guitar melodies. Joined by Jono Bernstein’s vintage drum vibes, they create modern day anthems full of insightful hopes. High Waisted bring empowerment, feminine inspiration, and raucous rock ‘n’ roll to every stage with an unforgettable live show. Despite being badly injured in a car accident while biking in NYC last summer, Dye and High Waisted have kept busy with a Nylon feature, a record store day release on a compilation with Bikini Kill, Lenny Kaye, and Atmosphere, wrote a song for NPR's More Perfect with a feature on their podcast, were featured by SXSW, completed a headline show at the Hard Rock Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip for SBTV,wrapped their 5th and final sold out High Waisted at Sea (completely self organized) and debuted four music videos on Left Bank Mag. High Waisted returned to the road in the fall of 2019 in anticipation of the release of the 4th edition in their cassette series, The Acid Tapes Vol 4. which debuted on BTR Today. The group's sophomore record is ready for the world to hear, produced by Tad Kubler (The Hold Steady) and mixed by Arun Bali (Saves The Day). Sick of Saying Sorry is an unapologetic record about finding hope in a hopeless situation and the strength to get up when the world is screaming at you to stay down.</image:caption>

<image:title>GEORGIA HURD - Georgia Hurd</image:title>
<image:caption>Georgia Hurd is an LA-based artist with east coast roots. Growing up in Maine, she sang for just about anyone who would listen. Today, her sound has matured, it is rich and soulful with clear and direct substance. There’s a heartbreaking honesty to her at times self-deprecating lyrics, but don’t be fooled, Georgia embraces the strength and awareness that comes from life experience. She’s drawn to strong melodies and finds inspiration in the vulnerability music allows her to express. Georgia released her first solo effort in 2019; a bold and intimate collaboration with producer, Kyle McCammon. Her music can be best described as indie pop with dark and soulful elements that come through in catchy melodic hooks. Previously, Georgia cut her teeth co-writing and collaborating with her brother’s project, Bay Ledges, opening for acts such as Alice Merton, J.Views and The Fray, as well as performing in intimate spaces like Pianos and Mercury Lounge (NYC); the Bootleg Theater and Moroccan Lounge (LA) and festivals like Taste of Randolph (Chicago) and Festival D’Ete (Quebec City). This is Georgia’s first step in pursuing a solo career, but she’s spent a lifetime immersed in music. Georgia wrote her first song when she was 15, but it would take many years and at some points walking away from music altogether, for her to trust her voice as a writer. The past year has offered big changes for Georgia and her music’s raw depth reflects that, but this level of brooding is anything but boring. Georgia brings vibrance and energy to her music; whether it’s about love, heartbreak or hope. At the moment, Georgia is working on new material for her next solo EP and is always seeking opportunities to create something fresh and stimulating.</image:caption>

<image:title>PLUS - PLUS</image:title>
<image:caption>Plus’s second single of the year has arrived with a feature from Tyler Mann who has previously released music with Loud Luxury, SOMMA, Evalyn and VAVO. Mann’s soulful indie pop mixed with Plus’s electronic indie pop take this track to the next level leaving you with the catchy lyrics and melody that will be stuck in your head for days to come. Los Angeles producer Kyle McCammon's latest creation, Plus, is a project featuring a rotating cast of artists that’s meant to be avant-garde yet listenable. He aims to create dark, edgy and angular songs that still have somewhat of a sense of lightness in certain tones or in the lyrical content. David Alarcon of METAL adds that “he delves into the electronic, indie and pop atmosphere blurring the boundaries between musical genres and demonstrating that continuous experimentation is the best antidote to stagnation and non-evolution.” Although Plus was only launched in 2021, it’s already started to garner quite a buzz with support from KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic, LADYGUNN, Acid Stag, We Found New Music and a placement on Amazon’s original series PANIC. McCammon’s other productions have been featured on shows such as Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, Never Have I Ever, Trinkets, CW’s Charmed among many others. As a member of the duo Lean, his work has received critical acclaim from outlets such as BuzzBands LA, Nylon, Indie Shuffle, and Paste. And, as a multi-instrumentalist he’s toured the world over</image:caption>

<image:title>HIDDEN FORTRESS - Hiden Fortress</image:title>
<image:caption>In a parallel future, where the boundaries between reality and augmented experiences are blurred, Hidden Fortress emerges as a clandestine collective of cyberpunk bodhisattvas. In this alternate reality dominated by auditory hallucinations people become trapped within imagined realms, cutting them off from the real world. Only those who comprehend the frequencies can penetrate the illusions, and Hidden Fortress is the enigmatic force equipped with waveforms capable of awakening people from their sonic-induced slumber. Conceived as a groundbreaking multimedia endeavor, Hidden Fortress transcends the conventional boundaries of a band. It unfolds as a dynamic fusion of 90’s style anime, 80’s inspired science-fiction, meticulously crafted animatronic characters and practical effects married to cutting edge visual effects. Hidden Fortress is a visionary project that blurs the lines between music, episodic storytelling, and interactive open-world exploration. Within this expansive universe, a cast of unique characters embarks on a quest to unravel the mysteries of reality, from a robot grappling with its forgotten human roots to an alien stranded on a distant moon yearning for home and beyond (or should we say inward). The debut record from Hidden Fortress serves as a sonic journey, a concept album loosely inspired by the Siddhartha story, reimagined within a cyberpunk setting. As the band explores profound themes about the nature of reality and the struggle for survival in a tumultuous world, their music becomes a genre-bending, unabashedly maximalist, sonically dense call to action. While rooted in psych-pop, the music of Hidden Fortress draws eclectic inspiration from punk rock, hip hop, R&B, and synth-pop. Originating from Southern California but currently beaming its waveforms across the cosmos, Hidden Fortress operates as a re-enchantment project, aiming to reignite faith in the human experiment amidst troubling times. With each beat, the band challenges the listeners to question their perceived realities, shed their false identification and return to base reality — to be fully present in awareness itself, the placeless place we all inhabit. This is the clarion call: dissolve the border between self and other and reclaim our true identity as infinite awareness seeking itself.</image:caption>
